What color is Tuesday? What color is your life? What melody corresponds to that? Art is an interpretation of our experience, of the world around us, of life, including life unseen. Which means that art is going on inside of each of us all the time, whether we paint it, play it, or write it – or not. After all, we can’t help sensing our experience; it’s automatic. And, as artwork demonstrates, we all sense that experience through a different filter, our own unique vision. That vision is the art. Those we call “artists” notice that vision and work to make it visible (or audible) to others. So close your eyes every now and then — notice the colors, shapes and feelings — and watch art happen. It’s an exhibit worth attending.
